The congress of the Italian Society of Human Genetics, held in Rimini and attended by more than a thousand participants, concluded today.
Our group gave numerous presentations:
- Prof. Alfredo Brusco: invited speaker with the presentation Investigating the Genetics of Autism Spectrum Disorders in the 'Neurogenetics' session.
- Prof. Giovanni Battista Ferrero: invited speaker with the presentation The new clinical genomics, in the sessions "New approaches in the clinical genetics".
- Dr. Lisa Pavinato: abstract selected for oral presentation entitled CAPRIN1-linked neurodevelopmental disorder: understanding the role of CAPRIN1 loss on neuronal differentiation, neurogenesis, and proliferation, in the session "Neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases".
- Serena Rizzo: abstract selected for oral presentation entitled Copy number variant (CNV) detection using exome sequencing data in neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), in the session 'Genomics and cytogenomics in the field'.
In addition, we presented the following posters:
- Dr. Simona Cardaropoli: NeuroWES: Identification of genes involved in the pathogenesis of neurodevelopmental disorders
- Dr. Slavica Trajkova: Untangling methylation episignature profiles in neurodevelopmental disorders: from variant classification to new diagnoses
- Verdiana Pullano: Validation of a preclinical model for the evaluation and development of new therapeutic approaches in duplication 15q disease
- Chiara Giovenino: Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) as innovative in vitro model to study Ataxia Telangiectasia
And to conclude, Lisa and Verdiana were awarded the SIGU prizes for best oral and poster presentation!
